Treatment Lengths and Office Visits: Treatment lengths vary greatly depending on the complexity of an individual's case. Overall treatment time is also very heavily determined by a patient's cooperation. For example, if you miss a lot of appointments, your treatment will be longer. Not wearing rubber bands (for those patients who need them), will also delay treatment. Patients typically are scheduled to come to the office once a month for their appointments for the duration of their treatment, and then come back every 3 months for retainer checks at the completion.
